I’ve been working a lot recently on customizing the heck out of SharePoint 2007. Lets just say, I am working under some super stringent UI requirements. In geek talk:

So I figured a few blog posts about customizing SharePoint were in order.
Customizing SharePoint could be done in 3 main ways. Each one of these have their own peculiarities. I will be covering each one of these, one by one. However, the most heavy duty customization can be done only through SharePoint designer, so I will be spending most of my time describing that.

So the 3 ways are.

a) Customization that you can do from the browser.
b) Customization that you can do in the form of templates. (I won't be covering this, as it is rather simple - much like 2003)
c) Customization done through SharePoint Designer.
