There are a lot of things that have to come together to produce a good book.
The authors writing the book must know the topic quite well.
The authors must be willing and dedicated to the project.
The authors should have the time and most of all, will power to dedicate towards such a book.
And they need to have a solid team behind them, the editor, the publisher, the project manager, the cover editor, and yours truly – in this case – the tech reviewer.
I had the honor and pleasure of being the tech reviewer for Pro SharePoint 2013 Branding and Responsive web development.
The SharePoint WCM story in 2013, has taken an about turn. I was one of the biggest critics of how terrible SP2010 and 2007 WCM was. I am one of those who feels comfortable recommending it on projects, I will be on hook for supporting. There are things such as device channels, but the entire world is using responsive design. Why shouldn’t SharePoint? How do you deal with a project that uses responsive design? And most of all, how do you apply it to SharePoint?
Good books and good authors are very hard to find.
Get this book. Its well worth it. Rated five stars by me (and a few others already on amazon.com I see).
