Poor man's start menu:

  1. Right click taskbar
  2. Choose new toolbar
  3. Create a toolbar pointing to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

Sound off but keep it civil:

just realized that for all the big deal that its being made out - have people even noticed that although there is no Start button all you have to do is place your mouse Or Swipe bottom left and the Start page comes up.

And like W7 you just type whatever you need ....
