Posted on 1/6/2009 @ 11:08 PM in #Sharepoint | 0 comments | 5329 views

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen.

I will be presenting an MSDN webcast, here are the details –>

Language(s): English.
Product(s): Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.
Audience(s):  Developer.
Duration:60 Minutes
Start Date: Thursday, January 15, 2009 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada)

If you wish to attend virtually, the registration URL is at -

http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/WebCastEventDetails.aspx?EventID=1032397232&EventCategory=4&culture=en-US&CountryCode=US

If you prefer a more in-person sort of setting, you can attend one of the presentations I will be giving at different locations over the next 3 months.

Now, here is a full disclosure .. the code and the stuff I’ll be presenting, well I didn’t develop it. So I can’t take credit for it. But

a) I am quite impressed by what Microsoft, and my fellow MVPs have put together. Not like they need a certificate of appreciation from me, but I was quite blown away by what they had put together. I think you will be too.

b) For this presentation/webcast, there is way more content to be covered than time allows, so I am right now, leaning towards a more complete coverage of modules, versus going strictly by script. There are 4 modules to be covered, and I think I am going to cover two exemplary ones, but cover them in depth and describe all the surrounding details .. so the attendees walk away with usable knowledge.

In this presentation, you can expect the following concepts to be covered:

a) Silverlight basics, and development for SharePoint, including deployment.
b) WCF, especially with SharePoint.
c) BDC
