Redesigned my site and my blog

Whew !! Well it's at a point where I can share it.

I got back home last night, at around 10PM, and thought .. hmm .. lets redesign this site, make it simpler and well frankly lesser content so it doesn't keep getting outdated.

Presenting, the newly redesigned -

Please let me know if there are any problems in rendering, I tested it with IE 7 and Firefox 2.0.

This page right here - is still not complete. The orange grid you see are basically fed from RSS Feeds. So I am thinking that I will create a category for each one of those on my blog, and then I have one place to put all content - "My Blog", and my site automagically stays fresh. Neat huh? But I am also not too happy with the current look and feel of the Writing page. Oh heck, there are so many things to catch up on - I'll fix this hopefully soon.

And yes, the blog will be redesigned to match the look and feel too. Just not today. Heheh :-)

Update: Just finished doing the blog also. Love master pages - changing the whole site was a snap !!

Sound off but keep it civil:

I subscribed your blog with RSS reader long ago, and happy see that new look of your web site.

And hope you write more words about your experience on Microsoft Tech.

Thanks Pierre :),

Yeah blogging actual content is on the cards too :))). I just had to get rid of the old skin because -

a) It wasn't individual to me, I lifted it from one of the templates that MSFT provided.

b) I didn't like the design too much, the actual content area was too narrow - in this it can grow to the right.

c) There were way too many links on it, a bit sensory overloadish. Now I have space/room for newer features on this blog engine, which I will invest in at some point.

Thanks for subscribing.
